What’s vital to you?
After years of sacrificing for “success” and being ambitious to the point of being oblivious, what’s vital to me is to become the husband and father my family deserves.  

What does vīdl mean to you?
I have two daughters, both in different stages of life.  My youngest is just starting out in life, while my oldest is entering adulthood and starting a life of her own.  Worried about the direction humanity is heading – distracted, divided, and a frightening lack of respect for one another – what vīdl means to me is the opportunity to make the world a better place for my daughters.  A world where people focus on the things that are truly vital in life.  A world where we are present – not distracted – during vital moments.  A world filled with different and meaningful conversations around what’s vital to one another.  A world where we can show someone that they’re vital, with a thoughtful and meaningful gift or a small act of kindness.  The question I asked myself when considering all of this is; if not now, when?  When does it all change and who is going to change it?  The only answer I could come up with is…why not me, why not vīdl.
